19 credit hours are kicking my tokus. I’m living on coffee and post-it notes. My office looks like notebooks and text books have exploded everywhere. I have German vocabulary strewn about on every visible vertical surface odd bits of computer code on post its hanging off of bookshelves. Physics equations take up any other free vertical space and derivation laws are on as many horizontal surfaces as I can find (including my floor). This is what happens in the middle of the semester. I end up with a crazed study pattern that only makes sense to me. I also go through phases where I will not be able to do anything during the day, and I usually hit my “genius” at midnight and work until four in the morning. Having an 8:30 class isn’t conducive to this way of studying. I paid the price this past weekend, throwing off my sleep schedule. It took me until today (Friday) to feel as though I am normal again (minus the madness in my office). I am the person who loses track of time when studying or doing homework. I don’t eat, forget to hydrate, etc. I get obsessive when I am in “the zone”. I know it worries my husband and he tries to make sure I go to bed or eat. I know I’m not the only person who is like this. So here’s a shout out to all the people working late into the night obsessively trying to make sense of the madness strewn about your room and also a shout out to the friends and family that make sure we have that extra cup of coffee, glass of water, or study snacks to feed our genius gremlins.
Okay my lovelies, I have finally gotten to the point where I think I have come up with a way to balance all on my plate without going nuts or dropping the drinks. Calculus, Physics, and my other classes are keeping me occupied during the week, and I can’t seem to find the time to squeeze in a blog post. So, I have decided that in the interest of keeping up with my blog with juggling everything, I will be posting my blog on Fridays instead of Wednesdays. It gives me a little break from the insane amounts of studying I do in order to do something fun.
It is the time of the year when you start to think about the next year and getting your new planner around. So, I have created a 2017 financial planner to go with the new 2017 planner I am in the process of creating. I’m planning to create two planner types: one like my student planner with the 1.9”x1.5” boxes, and one with regular happy planner sized boxes on full sized paper. Those planners will be coming out in the next few weeks. I may even have an extra color in the planners because sometimes I have problems with choosing a color because I want ALL THE COLORS! Or at least it will be a mixture of all the colors into one single planner for those of us who have problems choosing just one color. I hope you enjoy these as much as I enjoy making them.
As always, these are for personal use only, don’t sell, copy, distribute these without my permission and instead of giving someone the file, direct them to my blog. Enjoy!
Ok, it takes me a minute to figure out how classes run and what I need to do exactly for them. Time management isn’t always intuitive. I have the first two weeks under my belt, and I’m still trying to iron out a few things. One being, WHEN DO I HAVE TIME TO DO OTHER THINGS BESIDES STUDY!? I promise I am not neglecting you. This semester I am taking really hard classes. Even though things over lap in them, it doesn’t mean that I have less homework. Really my Physics lecture and Physics lab are two separate classes that they tie in as one class (separate homework, separate exams, etc.). I promise I am working on something cool to show you soon. Talk to you later!
